FAQs
What is a Personal Chef?
Reference : Canadian Personal Chef Association
A Personal Chef is the affordable alternative to what most people think of as a Private Chef. While Private Chefs generally work for one family and cook for them on a daily basis, Personal Chefs cook for several individuals or families at a time.
What is a Personal Chef Service?
A Personal Chef Service is the answer to providing you with nutritious, gourmet meals in the comfort of your home without the hassle of the meal planning, grocery shopping, cooking and clean up. A Personal Chef cooks anywhere from 1-4 days per month and prepares a variety of meals based on your specific preferences and dietary needs. The meals can be refrigerated or frozen and you simply heat the meals, enjoy the free time, clean kitchen, and fabulous food.
The service is customizable and can be used as little or as often as you wish.
People who hire personal chefs include:
- Busy professionals
- Families on the go
- Seniors
- Bachelors
- People with special dietary needs and restrictions (eg: gluten-free, dairy-free, during detoxification, etc)
- New mothers
- People recovering from surgery
Do I need any equipment?
No. Whether you are taking a cooking lesson or receiving a Personal Gourmet Meal we bring everything with us.
My kitchen is very small. Can I still have a cooking class in my home?
No kitchen is too small. Chef Gabe is creative and can adapt to the setting that is available. A few days before your class, we will set up a brief meeting in your home to view your kitchen for planning purposes.
I have special dietary needs. Can Chef Revolution accommodate me?
Yes – this is what we do. Our Personal Chef Service is made to order. Whether it’s gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, low-carb, low-sodium, etc., we can make delicious meals taking into account these food preferences.
How is the food stored?
The entrées are packaged in high quality glass containers that are microwave and oven-safe and freezable.
Do all the meals have to be frozen?
No, but it depends on what you prefer. Some of your meals may be stored in the freezer and some in the refrigerator. Those in the refrigerator would need to be eaten within 3-5 days from the day of service (eg: seafood).
What areas do you cover?
We serve the Toronto area. Services outside this area will incur an additional fee.
Do you sell gift certificates?
Absolutely! Contact us via email (gabe@chefrevolution.ca) or phone 416.709.9960 . Choose from any of our services (eg: cooking classes, personal gourmet meals, romantic dinners, group dinners, holiday feasts, family meals, meals for the cottage, etc.).
